There were two teenagers found shot dead in a parked car on a residential street in Montgomery Village on Monday, about 23 miles north of Washington, D.C., Montgomery County police said.
It was identified as Shadi Adi Najjar, 17 and Artem Ziberov, 18.
They are still investigating the incident, no arrests have been made yet however, Crime Slovers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of $10,000 for any information that would lead to catch the person who who is responsible on killing the two teenagers.
The teenagers were set to graduate from Northwest High School in German town the next day. The Northwest High School Principal Jimmy D’Andrea said “Najjar, a graduating student took higher-level courses including upper-level calculus,” he was a natural learner who had a genuine interest in knowing and understanding.” “Any assignment completed was well done, and he enjoyed learning most when he felt challenged.”
“He was also “incredibly kind and personable” and always leaned over to help a classmate when they were struggling”. D’Andrea added.
Ziberov, planned to study in the University of Maryland, had a “dry sense of humor” paired with truly kind spirit,”
He was working on learning Japanese as a fourth language since he can already peak in 3 languages. Japanese language could be his 4th language. He was a member of National Honor Society and had earned over 260 hours of community service,. D’Andrea said.
On Tuesday’s graduation ceremony there was a moment of silence held for the slain teenagers.
Najjar’s father was begging for help for the information to find the teen’s killer, that before Najjar’s funeral today. -WJLA-TV reported.
Since the investigation still going, the police cannot give anymore details on the incident.
